Courage…

Doing one thing that frightens you everyday keeps the courage alive.  You’ll lead a more successful and fulfilling life to have the confidence to approach something with a new attitude.  For a shy person, like me, it’s an arduous journey to continue living a courageous lifestyle.  Living with what’s in the back of your mind and thinking “what-if” for the rest of your life and living with regrets of what you should have done is living in the past.  The point of being courageous is to keep moving forward one day at a time.  The courage to speak up when needed is important so others can hear you.  The courage to do what you think is right gives your heart more clarity and leaves you feeling happier for doing something that feels right to you.  The courage to stand up for what you believe in lets others know just how passionate and serious you are about what you love.  Having courage brings confidence in myself, which takes me out of my comfort zone to become the very best I can be.

Today is the day to officially publicize my blog to my world . . . my people. . . Today I have found the courage to do something frightening.  I am not only opening up to strangers, but to people who know me and have known me for a long time.  I am showing my true self.  My true colors.  Me.  The vulnerable side of me.  The part I have hid for years.  The part of me that I was too afraid to show because I was so nervous about people’s reactions.  I am one step out of my comfort zone.

What a rush this feeling is!

Watch me grow.  Watch me do something amazing with my life…
