I cannot contain my excitement. This is the escape from reality I needed. Unfortunately, it’s only two weeks of freedom. My time is limited and important, so I plan to make every second count. I love to travel and hope with whatever my future endeavors allows me to explore another country or city at least once a year. This is something that is a great necessity to living. Exploring another location. Seeing God’s creations. Learning about new cultures. Sightseeing like a tourist and living like a local! It’s the best part to any adventure!
I can’t believe the time is almost here! In just one month, I will be flying to LA. I always enjoy my stay there. You never get bored because there is always something to do. Whether it’s relaxing on the beach, shopping in many local areas, eating possibly the BEST ASIAN food I’ve ever eaten in the States, so far. . . or going to Universal Studios for the day. But . . . LA is not what I’m so excited about! On September 11 at 7pm, I will be arriving in JAPAN!! If I enjoyed studying and living in China, I can’t imagine how much I would enjoy spending my days in Kyoto and Tokyo! I wish I had booked the trip longer than 10 days, but I am sure I will be going to Japan sometime again in the future . . . someday. . .
I’m happy to be traveling with my boyfriend, Keisuke. He was born in Japan and has been there multiple times as a kid. I’m looking forward to spending time with him in a country he’s familiar with and a language he can speak. He can be my translator! HAHA I can understand some of the characters because it’s similar to Chinese, while he does all the talking. I know a few words, which I’m grateful that my Japanese friends from studying in China taught me. I can’t wait to see them again! It has been a little over TWO YEARS since my farewell from China! I miss China, but I’m glad to be able to explore Japan and learn about their culture.
We have already decided on the cities we plan on going to and what days, it’s just a matter of planning the sites and activities! We will be traveling from Narita to Kyoto, Osaka, Kanazawa, and finally Tokyo. This will be a very hectic trip due to traveling, but we will have a blast either way! I’m looking forward to the food, the people, the fashion, and the culture. This is going to be an amazingly brilliant trip.
I’m excited to escape for a little bit. I’m ready to laugh a lot, walk a lot, take a lot of pictures, eat a lot and relax plenty when I fly back to LA before flying back to the reality I call “home”.
I hope to post about the days in Japan, if not everyday, at least once or twice a week. But you never know with all the excitement, I might be nowhere to be found.
Stay tuned for my September trip!
