keep going (a reminder to self)

As a perfectionist,
we see the imperfections
and call it flaws
we know there’s progress, yet we think
not good enough
we don’t see
how far we’ve come
we let the struggles define us
but it’s within the hard stuff
that makes you, you
we hold tight to our dreams
yet reality gets in the way, and
those dreams gets pushed aside
we think there’s someone out there
better qualified than I
but in reality, there’s no one whose ideas shine
brighter the way you’ve designed
we are the creators,
our voices are not meant to be shut down by our inner demons
we are meant for more, to share, to explore, to create
the journey is hard, but
nothing ever comes easy, something or someone
will always be trying to take you down.
Don’t let it.
Success comes to those who
wait push through, success isn’t
defined by the final result, success is
perseverance, resilience, strength, and
determination to keep going.
Keep going when times are tough
Keep going when you don’t feel like it
Keep going even if you think you’re never going to make it
If you’ve got the dream, the skill, and the commitment
Keep going.
Push through.
Carry on.
